September 5, 2012 You spoke, we listened. Engineers say that Excel is used more often than any other tool on their desktop, so we found a way to make Excel integration more seamless than ever. Check it out:
Knovel’s new Excel Add-In installs a tab to your Excel desktop that provides one-click access to Knovel’s search and unit conversion tools.
When you login at www.knovel.com you’ll find the Excel Add-In under the tools menu.
The Excel Add will install a Knovel Tab into your worksheets, allowing you easy import and manipulate data. You’ll also have direct access to Knovel’s Search, Data Search and Unit Conversion options:

It did not work for me.
Reboot is required (no advance warning).
Apparently uses VSTO — not a fan.

I cannot load the Add-In due to an error message stating that the security certificate for the Add-In is not trusted. It seems that Microsoft doesn’t like its own programs:
