Q&A: Ambassador Program Adventures at UC Berkeley!
While spending time at UC Berkeley last week, Knovelite Virgil Wong had time to speak with Caleb Alexander, a third year ChemE major at UC Berkeley. Here’s what went down.
Knovel recently launched a Student Ambassador Program to support student engineering communities on college campuses. Participants will have opportunities to network, host and attend exclusive events, gain insight from experts in their fields, and more. We took a road trip to UC Berkeley and had a Knovel’s Marketing Associate Virgil Wong had time to speak with Caleb Alexander, a third year ChemE major at UC Berkeley.
Virgil Wong: You were at the AICHE event yesterday. What did you think about seeing Knovel on campus?
Caleb Alexander: It was pretty interesting. It was actually the first time I’ve ever heard about Knovel. There was a program out there that I could plug in chemicals and properties and get lots of data back. I'm definitely going to try it out when I work on homework and in lab. Normally when I go around looking for data I have to go out to Google and there’s a whole bunch of peripherals that has nothing to do with science at all. Its much more difficult that way. I like the idea of Knovel.
. . . Also, the tshirts were pretty sweet. You gotta give me an XL so I could use it as a nightshirt to sleep.
Virgil Wong: So you see that Knovel has a place in the workflow and in projects, whether in class or an internships?
Caleb Alexander: There’s just so many different companies using it. It’s pretty useful.
Virgil Wong: Have you played the UC yet?
Caleb Alexander: No I haven’t yet.
Virgil Wong: Did you know that you could just go to www.knoveluniversitychallenge.com and play to win an iPad, Beats earphones and other cool stuff?
Caleb Alexander: Now I do!
